Data sources and licences
All data are works of the United States government (public domain) or, for USAspending, released under CC0. The site reads the bulk files the agencies publish for download; nothing is scraped from search interfaces. Employer Ledger is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Department of Labor, OSHA, OFLC, the NLRB or the Treasury.

Agency caveats
- OSHA: "Citations may be contested; the status shown reflects the record at the data date." Inspection detail pages on osha.gov are linked from every inspection.
- OFLC: "Employer-specific case information was provided to OFLC by employers who submitted foreign labor certification applications. These are not employer responses to the Bureau of Labor Statistics' survey."
- NLRB: results as certified at the data date.
- ITA: summaries are as submitted by establishments and are not verified by OSHA.
