Employer Ledger

About Employer Ledger

Employer Ledger publishes one page per employer built from federal records: 72,330 employers with OSHA inspections and citations, Wage and Hour Division compliance actions, injury summaries, H-1B labor condition applications, PERM labor certifications, federal contract totals and, when the source responds, NLRB election results. Each record is placed beside its industry, state and occupation so a figure can be read in context.

What it is for

Job seekers and employees checking a prospective employer, immigration and employment professionals, reporters, and employers reviewing their own record use the same agency files. The agencies publish them one dataset at a time; this site joins them by employer and adds the comparisons and explanations the raw files do not carry.

What it leaves out

Funding

The site is free and funded by advertising that is clearly labelled. Advertisers have no influence over which employers appear or how records are presented; sponsor placements, when present, are marked "Sponsored".

Updates and corrections

The ledger is rebuilt from the agency files on each source's own schedule: enforcement records at least every ten days, OFLC disclosure data each quarter, injury summaries each year. The data-through date is printed on every page. If a figure here differs from the agency's own record, the agency record is authoritative; see corrections and the methodology for how the two can differ.

Employer Ledger is an independent public-data reference site. It is not affiliated with the Department of Labor, OSHA, the Wage and Hour Division, OFLC, USAspending or the NLRB. Contact: contact page.
